Stow It

I'm sure that when we were all in school the dread of opening up our lockers to see what kind of surprise was inside was the highlight of starting a new year. The schools that I went to always had the lockers outside unprotected and then we would all get the third because they were being vandalized. My son's school is great and has all the lockers inside so they know that it would be their own kids that were screwing them up. So, this year it was kind of a shock to me when they implemented a voluntary locker use policy complete with a FEE. How can they possibly give the kids that kid of decision? Of course my kid, the genius that he is, decided against getting one because he apparently didn't use it the last two years anyway. Way to go kid. So now I'm expecting that by June he'll be completely hunched over from lugging his textbooks around all day. Not to mention that he never wants to wear a jacket because now he has no where to put one. Yep, total genius.
