Wishing She'd Stop...

I have this friend...well, I can sort of call her that. She's a total busy body and she ends up getting on my last nerve after about half an hour. She swears she knows everything there is to know and it drives me crazy. She's even over stepped her boundaries and has sent me all kinds of "information" after we've talked backing herself up. UGH...SO annoying! You know, it's like you're sitting there just trying to make conversation and then she has to come out acting like everything is some huge debate. Once we were talking about the Biggest Loser and she's like "WELL...I think blah, blah, blah...". O M G who cares?! Then she forwarded me some slimming pills review thing and of course I just deleted it. Man she drives me nuts!

BORED

I think I'm hitting another slump...I'm SO bored all the time. It seems like there isn't one thing that makes it go away no matter what I do. This is the reason why I hate staying home. Everything becomes so repetitious and blah. I don't even have anything to say to people when I'm talking to them. This is getting pretty frustrating. I'll start a project and after an hour or so I'm on to something else and then I have more than one unfinished project sitting there. Cleaning the house really would be a better use of my time right now but I can't seem to get myself to do that either! UGH

The Diet Debate

People swear that diet pills don't work. I think that it's a matter of how a person uses them. You obviously can't rely solely on the pills and still have to watch what you eat and how much you move.

A friend and I are about to start comparing two different ones to see who ends up with the best results *points to self*. LOL! I have tried the one that she'll be taking a while ago and I'll tell ya, I'd rather stick with the one that I'm on than go back to that one. The details are pretty nasty so I'll spare you the ick. LOL I guess in a few months we'll find out which is best diet supplement for sure.

What to Do, What to Do?

Okay, so I have a friend that I've known for a long time. She's supposed to be my best friend but really, she's a pain. She's rude, self centered, and...really, just a pain. lol Anyway, she's getting married this year and I'm having conflict about going. Don't get me wrong, I am happy for her but she never seems to make the right decisions and there's just something that's not right about this one. She's kind of weird too. Instead of looking at diamond engagement rings like most people, she's opted against one and they got some really funky silver things as their bands. Not that there's anything wrong with this but her dress is weird too. LOL I don't know...did I mention that they're getting married on Halloween? Um, that might tell you something. When she told me that she was getting married it was very casual like, "oh, did you know..." and then she told me that she was saving room for me and my family as long as DH doesn't go because "they don't get along". She doesn't like him. So that was pretty weird too. I don't know, we'll see what happens.

I'm Toast

Well, I guess that's all I have for today. I'm way to grumpy to stay up anymore and ramble on about totally retarded things. It's still hot and I can't breathe...so, I'm gonna grab a beer and go sit some where quiet. LOL I know, that SO doesn't help but at this point I need to seriously just pass right out or I'll be sitting here all pissed off all night. Lately bedtime hasn't been until 3am so I'm just praying it's earlier than that! Until next time...

Reunited...

I just caught up with an old friend from work. It's super nice to talk to people from way back when but after a minute I end up running out of things to talk about. Then comes those awkward moments and then it's like "well, nice talking to ya". LOL I was supposed to have at least a few play dates with another old friend of mine and her 1 1/2 y/o but I'm kind of scared of having that same thing happen to me face to face, which would be even more weird, so I haven't called her yet.

Anyway, this old co-worker is from the Carolinas and is about to go back for a vacation. She was telling me about the Outer Banks rentals but I have no idea where or what that is so I didn't have much to say other than trying to sound impressed and excited for her. LOL Told ya, awkward. Oh well, at least she isn't one of the others that's gonna go get drunk and party in Vegas. At this point I'm thinking anything's better than that. lol

All Set Up

I have finally taken the time last week to set myself up a mini office in my walk in closet. I have this really old teeny desk that functions perfectly for what I do and I just got a pretty new flowered floor protector to cover our wood flooring. Of course the second I go to put in under my desk, the iron falls off of the shelf above me and dents the floor just before I got the thing positioned. Ugh! Go figure. It's so just my luck right now. I seem to be having the crappiest time right now. I am really happy with my new set up and can't wait to get working in it. I've tried but I need a ton of supplies still and that's a serious amount of money that we don't have right now, so I'll just have to buy a little at a time. Hopefully by next year I'm fully up and running! That's the goal anyway. LOL

What a Waste

You know, I have all these friends and they all are taking turns coming and going from Las Vegas and when they aren't going they're talking about being there and which Vegas hotels to be at. I guess I'm just too much of a mom now to remember what it's like to have nothing to worry about but yourself but some of these people are parents too! WTH? God, I just sound like some old fart with no life who is hating on everyone today. LOL Maybe that's just what I am? Oh God...help me.

It's TOO Hot!

I thought it was nice outside a few days ago...but man! All of a sudden it's scorching out and all my plants are wilting. Not to mention that I'm sick and it's just making things a whole lot worse. I knew that the second I started thinking about not being sick it would happen. Well, okay, not right away but this really is just plain retarded. Ugh.

Anyway, it IS great weather out here right now and I just hope that it cools off just a little so that we can sleep comfortably at night. Ugh, tomorrow's Monday...time for a whole other week. Blech. Yeah, I'm just not in the greatest of moods today.

Vacationing

One of my friends just got back from a two week vacation and two more of my friends are getting ready to leave soon. It's pretty depressing knowing that we can't afford anything great right now. So, while one is in Hawaii and the other Orlando vacations, I'll be sitting here minding my own business...doing NOTHING.

I can't say that I'd really be able to enjoy myself with DD in the phase that she's in right now but I'd love to have a change of scenery. Hawaii would be super fantastic! I haven't been there since I was young and even then it was for my aunt's wedding. Although Florida would be nice too. I went there for a month but didn't go see anything and where I was was pretty crummy so going back now would be nice. I really want to see Disney World. Then I'd need TONS of money...I end up buying way too much at Disneyland as it is. LOL

A-nnoy-ing!

A long time ago DH and I used to live in a studio...a crappy one. LOL There was like one window and the majority of the time we were there it was summer and it was GOD awful! We had to keep the door open all the time and the only way to cool off was to get in the bathtub. Did I mention that we shared a bathroom?! Omg it was freakin awful! We had no kitchen, it was literally just a room, so we ended up having to barbeque anything we wanted hot just about. WELL...one day we were waiting for the coals to die out and some jerk stole our HOT grill! I couldn't believe that! It was right outside our open door too! What really topped the whole thing off was that some idiot's car alarm used to go off every morning at 5am. It was one of those super long ones that played all different sounds. You would think that this person used it as an alarm clock...that didn't work. They didn't turn it off FOREVER.

Why am I telling you this? Because some dumb home alarm keeps going off everyday. There's gotta be a short in it. Ugh! It's super annoying and I can't wait till they get it fixed. At least it doesn't go off that early though.

Taking It Too Far

I like to play this online game and everyone is all gung ho about Easter coming up. I like the holiday in a whole, don't get me wrong, but some of these religious people are just a little to damn creepy. There's all these messages about Jesus rising again and one even said "he's alive"! Um, o k a y. LOL

I'm not a religious person, as you can tell, and I do respect their beliefs but WOW. Religion is a controversial subject by far and I won't get into it at all but I will say is that my problem with it is how so many try to push their ways of thinking onto other people. Not that these people are, I'm just speaking about some. Everyone is entitled to their ways of practicing or not practicing their faith. I'm more spiritual and don't care for anything organized but whatever works for you is then for you. That doesn't mean that I'm going to hell for not getting on my knees to pray. All religions tend to contradict its self. But that's just my opinion. Like I said, whatever works. ;o)

Dog Gone-It!

Okay, someone help me out here. There's these people that moved in a few doors down and they have this dog...yeah, it's a mid-sized, med-long haired, black dog almost the same as all the other dogs around here but it's SO not the same. Plus it has a colored collar that stands out. Anyway...this dog had ambushed me in our backyard a few months ago at night (we have a motion sensor light so I could see it). It runs around barking like mad so you can definitely tell which dog from which. Not long ago I heard the dog running around again and this time it was during the day and was in and out of your yard again. The best part was that this time, the female owner was out front. She was quite pregnant and throwing lunch meat at the dog that she obviously would not go near. That got me thinking. Hmmmm Then the husband came and tried to grab the dog's collar but wouldn't do it from the front of the dog, only the side or back. Again the damn thing went running into our yard. The owners tried to get on either side of the house but it wouldn't come out. By this time I was FURIOUS. First she rewards it by feeding it while it was still on our lawn then they don't even have the balls to come knock on the door?! I made sure to confront the woman who claims that it's never gotten out before this...yeah, right. And it was obvious that they didn't want to get too close to it in certain ways so I sure as hell don't want this one running up on me! Who knows what it'll do. Right now we're saving up for a new fence installation which INCLUDES gates so I don't have to worry about being back there with the 2 year old and having her eaten alive. As it is now I take the bat with me just in case. UGH!

Diet Cheater?

Is taking an appetite suppresant really cheating? It seems like it at first but there's the flip side of things where someone could very well eat like crazy still taking diet pills. Of course there's natural forms of filling yourself up. Celery is always a good one. The fibers make the body work harder to digest it and it's really quite filling to boot. I've found that having a ziploc baggie of pre-cut sticks helps me to fight cravings. If I need something salty I can sparingly dip it in some ranch dressing or peanut butter. If I need sweet I add raisins. It's one of the perfect foods since it goes well with everything.

The Biggest Loser Gets Down and Dirty

Whew-y! Did the claws start coming out on Tuesday's Biggest Loser or what?! I was really wondering when the game would really turn on. I was SO happy for Kristin during the temptation round. Her whole way of dealing with that episode was so classy and morally stable. It's really too bad that Sione had to go home. It was bound to come seeing that he was Tara's biggest competition.

I was really impressed that Sione had decided to change careers and turn to training. It is even more impressive to see so many professional young people on that show. Not only do I have faith that they will lose and keep the weight off but they will also make positive contributions to those that need it. That restores my hope of a better generation up and coming.

So, who do you think will be the biggest loser? Right now it's a tie for me between Kristin and Tara. They both have that mega determination to lose weight in two different ways and it sure pays off for them. Tara does have some issues still to overcome though. I can't wait to see what happens!

Getting That Perfect Hourglass Figure

I have a friend that never quite came out of the teenage goth phase and owns quite a few corsets. They are super pretty but I'm not sure I'd be comfortable wearing one. I'm really claustrophobic and can't stand things so tight on my body. I have to admit though, going to the Height and looking at all of those pretty corsets really made me want one. The axfords corsets are absolutely gorgeous. It must be really nice to have something like that handmade.

The thing that gets me about women that wear corsets is the ones that get them to physically shrink themselves. That is SO gross! I know you've had to have seen at least one of these ladies...with the waist of like 12 inches and all of their organs pushed, shoved, and twisted from having that thing pulled tighter and tighter. I don't know how women way back in time dealt with having to wear those things. *sigh* The things women do for beauty...

Business Thoughts

Many people decide to open a business because of the write offs and things they can get away with like ordering things for themselves and writing it off as a loss. I've always wanted to start a business but never have been able to figure out what I want to do. I really don't have anything that I can use to provide a service and selling products isn't always a profitable thing to do. I had tested myself with ebay a long time ago and came across a lot of people that bought lots of cheap wholesale clothing trying to make a buck. The problem was that the clothes were visibly super cheap and poorly made. I just imagined cases of crappy clothes sitting in these people's garages with no where to go.

Sometimes I wonder how it is that the people that sell on there actually make anything. Especially when they offer free shipping and huge discounts. Shipping is SO not cheap that it makes it hard when I have some stuff to get rid of on ebay. People have questioned the shipping rates as if I were trying to make a profit. Um, DUH...if you buy something from me for a dollar and I have to ship it cross country, it's eventually going to cost around $7-8 depending on what it is and the weight. Ugh, it's SO frustrating.

Eco Babies

When I was pregnant I seriously contemplated using cloth rather than disposable diapers but quickly changed my mind when I thought back to having to rinse the stuff off of them. BLECH! I remember watching that when my step cousin was little and it was just SO yuck. At least he sat still for pinning which my DD would NEVER do. She thinks it's SO funny to piss you off any way she can. I really would have loved the monetary savings though.

I still wonder why it's taking so long to get more landfill friendly diapers as a normality. Doesn't it seem like our country is always lacking in the easiest areas to progress in? It is nice to have so many eco friendly baby products now. I certainly didn't have this with her brother. I really can't wait to see what will change when they have kids. Boy, it might even seem sci-fi compared to what we have now.
