F-A-T!

I'm really sick and tired of being fat. I know I'm not OVERLY fat but the extra pounds I have really do make quite a difference. I've tried to keep my stress levels down but there's only so many things you can control, I've tried to move a lot more but my kids really are being pains right now, and I've tried to eat more healthy foods but it's hard to do when you're broke. So, I'm going with trying to find the best diet pills. I know there must be one out there for me that will aid me in this battle that's been going on for years. Ever since my last child it's been up and down with more up than down. LOL I'm keeping my fingers crossed!

Lawyer Up!

Well, sort of. LOL I have a couple of friends that have been going to law school and within a short amount of time both will be taking their exams and are super nervous about it. You can imagine what I hear all the time...LOL Anyway, the internet is sure providing them a new way of studying. Remember when you had a huge test and you would create a quiz to help you memorize things with only to find that you wouldn't be challenging yourself and eventually it would get all confused? Well there's this site that helps with LSAT prep that allows you to do just that and a ton more, plus they have instructors to help tutor you! It's pretty incredible, I mean can you imagine if regular school had this kind of thing?! I know they won't since it's all government funded but man, that would be an awesome way for the kids that don't test well to learn!

YAY...More Room!!!

So, I got my office up and running...it's just not all pretty yet. I'll be so excited to be able to work in a comfortable space and able to function without all the junky clutter in here! I cannot stand things the way they are right now BUT they are WAY better then it was before. I'm really going to enjoy painting, decorating, and organizing all the things I need for my various jobs too. It really is like a sigh of relief that I can sit down at a desk that is big enough for me to move my legs under and spread my work out without having to shuffle everything around.

I See You....

Since spring started we've had some one scoping out homes and stealing things from them on a semi regular basis around here. I'm not exactly sure what the heck our local police department is doing about it but it does scare me because we have quite a bit of video game stuff in our house thanks to DS and a few other things that at one point were expensive. I guess that's when you are lucky to be broke huh? LOL Some windows in our house are still old and we don't have any kind of great security either. I'm thinking of getting video surveillance equipment to put around the sides of the house (especially the one with few ground floor windows). It really would freak me out if some one broke in here because I'm always home and they may not even know I'm in here! :-?

Where am I?!

I think that DH is the ONLY man I know that can't tell north from south. Every where he goes he has to have directions and then he ends up missing any turn offs anyway! LOL! I'm thinking that getting him one of those gps systems might be a really good idea. Then my only concern would be that he wouldn't know how to use the thing...he's technically challanged. LOL!!! It would sure make things a little easier though especially if you can pre-program it or something, then I could do it before he were to leave. If we got something that told him the depth of water he'd be really excited and then probably lose it fishing. Maybe that's what he'll get for Christmas...we'll see.

A New Office

I'm SO excited! Tomorrow I'm headed out to IKEA to pick up some new furnishings for my work area (aka: my closet). I was able to make some room so that I can actually function in it and it took FOREVER. I can't even tell you how happy I am to know that I'm getting rid of this teenie weeny desk I have to sit at! The only thing left to do once I get it set up is move things a bit so I can paint and fix the walls. I know that sounds backwards but I can't put anything away until I get the right stuff. That's the only way anything ends up working out for me...backwards. LOL!

Here We Go Again!

I think my stress is really taking a toll on my weight. I keep flip-flopping all over the place and I can't take it anymore. I'm SO tired of fitting or not fitting something...it's just another thing to worry about when I have to get dressed.

I'm going to start a weight loss program that I got a while back and try to stick with it this time. I'm not good with any kind of routine I swear. The goal as of right now is to lose at least 15lbs by the beginning of October some time. I don't think it's totally unrealistic but it may be pushing things. Knowing that we have to gut and clean the house for all our family to come over for Christmas will definitely help with not sitting around doing nothing too!
